Accounts Receivable Clerk - Part Time

Location: Mt. Sterling, IL

Department: Accounts Receivable

Reports To: AR Supervisor

As a Part - Time Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for various billing activities, including accurately identifying supplier information to ensure deduction matching and some deduction processing responsibilities, or processing customer payments and applying them to their respective invoices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Part Time: minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Indexing back up related to customer deductions.
• Reviews and researches information to accurately identify supplier ID's
• Manages generic email boxes to ensure the timely filing of customer deduction info.
• Creates, posts, and adjusts deposits to customer accounts
• Indexing all back up that is related to customer deductions
• Reviews and research invoice discrepancies
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

YOU MUST HAVE

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• General knowledge of accounting practices

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous work in accounts receivable
• Knowledge of general office equipment (Such as fax and copy machines)
• Excellent 10 key and typing skills.
• Strong math skills
