The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator, is responsible for daily accounts payable functions for assigned companies, which includes assigning department and allocation coding, verifying accuracy of invoices for authorization of payment and keying data into accounts payable software..

This position will be with National Indemnity in Omaha, Nebraska, and 50% hybrid after a period of onsite training. This position is NOT eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

What will you do?

  • Assigns or reviews general ledger account, department and allocation codes to invoices, check requests, and travel expense reimbursements.
  • Reviews accounts payable software screen to select invoices due for payment and creates computer file of invoices to be paid.
  • Reviews travel expense reports submitted by Company personnel and corporate credit card statements to verify expenses are approved appropriately, are business related, appropriate receipts are attached, and totals balances prior to generating check.
  • Compiles data such as price, type of equipment, inventory number, and department utilizing equipment from invoices and purchase orders and keys data into software to generate fixed asset inventory reports.
  • Prepares billings to affiliates and subsidiaries on personal computer spreadsheets and related monthly journal entries. Reconciles various general ledger accounts.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or GED and two years college or equivalent work experience required.
  • Two or more years work experience.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting
  • General accounting principles
  • Direct bill operations
