Overview

Reporting directly to the VP of Customer Equipment Applications, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will ensure consistent production quality by developing and maintaining quality standards, validating processes, and providing performance documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to meet ISO 2015:9001 standards.
- Review customer specifications for project scoping and design.
- Inspect the product throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Conducted inspections of subcontractors to ensure compliance with product requirements.
- Perform internal audits for conformity to company processes and procedures.
- Conduct inspections of incoming material to evaluate material condition and compliance with requirements.
- Review project-related quality documentation from the shop and subcontractors, including MTRs, personnel qualifications, NDE reports, etc., for compliance with specifications.
- Key focal point for customer and 3rd party inspectors and audits.
- Manage contractor quality technicians as required.
- Ensure Floquip meets international regulations and standards for shipping products internationally.
- Interface with customers, inspectors, sales, and shop personnel as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- BS Mechanical Engineering - Required
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in writing and implementing processes and procedures - Preferred
- Welding inspection experience is required; an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and knowledge of NDT methods (PT, MT, RT) are preferred.
- 7-9 years of industrial experience - Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Familiar with quality management principles and theory.
- Excellent in oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and codes.
- Experience in writing and implementing processes and procedures.
- Must be detail-oriented with good follow-up skills.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Team player with highly developed human relations skills. Comfortable with customers and suppliers at all organizational levels.
- Experience in reading drawings, including P&IDs, structural, and pipe isometrics.
- Organized and capable of supporting multiple concurrent projects.
