Pharmacy Technician 1/2 SummaryPharmacy Tech I - This individual performs, under supervision, a variety of duties inaccordance to department procedures, wh ich may be related to theprocurement, preparation, distribution and stor age of drugs, as well as,assistingwith clinical pharmacy services accor ding to the Pharmacy'srole in ensuring safe medication use. Pharmacy Tech II - This individual performs, under supervision, a variety of duties inac cordance to department procedures, which may be related to the procurement, preparation, distribution and storage of drugs, as well as, provision of clinical pharmacy services according to the Pharmacy's role in ensuring safe medication use.Individuals eligible for pharmacy technician level II are competent inall tasks associated with pharmacy technician level I and have achievedthe area specific advanced competency requirements. Pharmacy technician level II staff must achieve and maintain certification by the PharmacyTechnician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certificationof Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
