Overview NaphCare is hiring a Full Time Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (OBGYN NP/OBGYN PA) to join our team of medical professionals at the Pima County Detention Center located in Tucson, Arizona. As a Correctional OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive healthcare to women, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth, to the patients in residence. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities The Obstetrics-Gynecology Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) performs physical exams, diagnoses and treats conditions, offers family planning, and educates patients on health maintenance. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Providing gynecological services including well woman care, annual Pap smears and pelvic exams, health education, STD screening and follow up contraceptive counseling and prenatal care and postpartum care
Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
