The Director of Marketing, Specialty Injectables is a senior level professional responsible for leading and driving the development and implementation of marketing strategies in the hospital, oncology, and specialty market segments. Specific responsibilities shall include the direction of marketing and promotion, sales, market access, and lifecycle management strategies and may evolve based on the needs of the assigned products.

  • Strategic Planning / Brand Positioning- Develop an annual comprehensive Brand Plan to optimize brand profitability and lead execution against target audience (physicians, payers, patients).
  • Market Research / Market Insights- Identify customer and market needs, trends, and competitor activity and work with key functional partners to develop shared understanding of brand insights and performance factors.
  • Budget Management- Develop and manage marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to different initiatives based on expected impact and outcomes. Includes careful vendor selection and oversight.
  • Lead Cross functional collaboration- Direct the activities of sales, market access, medical, and others to mobilize and execute alignment with annual plan.
  • Product lifecycle management- Develop and execute strategies to maximize the value and success of specialty drugs throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Lead the development and completion of executive reporting and forecasting as well as communication of product strategies.
  • Development and leadership of key promotional activities including brand planning, promotional campaigns, and training of sales and marketing personnel. May include both Personal Promotion & Non-Personal Promotion to HCPs and Patients.
  • Develop strategy with an enterprise mindset by leveraging and sharing best practices across the organization.
  • Efficient use of resources including management of vendors, negotiation for services both internally and externally, and monitoring of budgets.
  • Ensure all strategies and tactics follow relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage team of direct/indirect reports by providing guidance and leadership.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' marketing and sales management in the branded, injectable oncology drugs. Demonstration of leadership of marketing and sales strategies of injectable drugs in the buy and bill space required. Experience with 505b2s and specialty pharmacy will be strongly considered.
  • 7+ years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role, experience managing teams required.
  • Financial acumen experience managing P&L, budgeting, understanding of profit and loss statements, return on investment analyses.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to leverage market insights to refine strategy and execution.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working closely with market access, sales, and/or commercial operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to drive and deliver on key priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Travel Required: Approximately 25% of the time.

Expected Salary Range:

$165,000-$185,000

The salary range, is the minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
