Responsibilities

We're seeking a data-driven Marketing Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team, focusing exclusively on marketing initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with strategic marketing insights to drive data-informed decision-making across our marketing organization. You'll report to the Associate Director of Data Analytics while being embedded with the Marketing team for day-to-day collaboration. Experience with comparable technologies to our stack is welcome.

Essential Duties:

  • Build and maintain data models in Snowflake to power marketing analytics and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.
  • Serve as a key resource for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, creating and optimizing customer journeys, campaigns, and segments directly within the platform.
  • Extract, segment, and analyze data using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Customer Insights to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations, working collaboratively with stakeholders to define KPIs and monitor campaign performance.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to design data-driven customer journeys, personalization strategies, and targeted campaigns within Dynamics Customer Insights.
  • Perform complex SQL querying and dataset creation; proficiency in dbt for dataset modeling and transformation is highly preferred.
  • Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques to enhance marketing performance and customer targeting when applicable.
  • Support data integration and cleansing from multiple sources, including CRM platforms and other external marketing data.
  • Utilize metadata management and data cataloging tools such as Alation to ensure compliance with data governance standards.
  • Implement data quality checks, resolve inconsistencies, and maintain documentation to ensure reliable marketing analytics.
  • Identify and document data gaps, inconsistencies, or quality issues and work with stakeholders to implement resolution strategies.
  • Translate business requirements into effective data-driven marketing strategies and reporting solutions.
  • Provide clear communication regarding data and performance insights, proposing actionable solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage internal data sources to ideate and develop data-driven strategies that enhance targeted marketing efforts, leveraging available customer and campaign data to improve precision and performance.
  • Design and automate processes and queries for maximum efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute to data governance standards and promote self-service analytics capabilities across the marketing organization.
  • Understand and utilize available tools and databases efficiently to deliver accurate data requirements.

Ancillary Duties:

As an integral member of the Data & Analytics Department, this position is responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the department and the bank in achieving their goals.


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Business, Accounting or other related field or related field.
  • All applicants must be 18 years old or older

Skills:

Deep proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights for creating journeys, campaigns, and segments. Strong SQL querying skills (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Teradata). Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt for data modeling preferred. Understanding of machine learning and data science concepts. Experience with Dataiku or similar analytical platforms preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in technical and user-friendly manner. Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in data analysis or marketing analyst, specifically in the sales and marketing domain. Banking experience preferred. Hands-on experience with customer data platforms, particularly creating and managing customer journeys, campaigns, and segmentation strategies.
