The Department The College of Science, Technology, and Business has a need to hire additional lecturers for a teach-out program for the discontinued BA in Economics, as well as provide support for the BS in Business Administration program . Prospective applicants are encouraged to see the department's web page at: https://economics.sonoma.edu/ Duties of the Position The Department is looking primarily for lecturers in principles of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and environmental and natural resource economics, although applications in any area will be accepted. Appointments will likely be part-time, though possibly full-time, for one semester, with the possibility of reappointment. Required Qualifications To be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have: Successful candidates will have a MA/MS in Economics (PhD preferred) or related field, experience managing large (100-300 students) classrooms, outstanding teaching qualifications, and a demonstrated commitment to supporting a diverse student body. Rank and Salary Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.
