At Hitachi Energy, we're seeking a skilled and driven Installation Manager to oversee the on-site installation of HVDC systems and high-voltage substations (345-500 kV). You'll lead a diverse team, coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders, and ensure every detail meets our high standards for safety, quality, and performance. How You'll Make an Impact
Lead all on-site installation activities for HVDC and high-voltage substations. Coordinate with civil, commissioning, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution. Guide and support installation contractors to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals. Monitor project progress and proactively address risks and delays. Represent Hitachi Energy in client meetings and inspections. Mentor and support junior team members and new hires. Oversee material handling, documentation, and equipment readiness. Providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership. Evaluate and provide feedback on the construction schedule to ensure timely project delivery. Assist the HSE team in ensuring compliance and safety standards are met. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Installation Manager or equivalent. Experience with Substation testing and commissioning is highly valued. Proven experience with HVDC or high-voltage substations (345-500 kV). Strong knowledge of high-voltage equipment assembly, installation, and testing. Experience with utility-scale projects is highly valued. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Formal electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, trade, or degree. Foster a collaborative team environment. Strong knowledge of P6, MS Excel, Procore, BIM/ACC (final user). Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
