The Office of TRIO Programs pre-college grants aim to prepare and motivate high school students to pursue a higher education. The TRIO Programs are federally funded through 5-year grants from the U.S. Department of Education. Under general supervision of the Assistant Director, the High School Coordinator (HSC) provides Upward Bound required services to all UB Oasis participants. In addition, the HSC assists in the planning and coordination of events such as field trips, Saturday Sessions, and the six-week summer program. The HSC will be in charge of initiating the recruitment, selection, training and overseeing High School Mentors (Tutors) and Summer Student Assistants. In addition, the HSC will assist with conducting advising sessions (i.e. academic, summer melt, etc.) Lastly, the HSC will have an integral part assisting the Assistant Director with the recruitment of all program participants. The Upward Bound grants are currently in year 3 of 5.
The full salary range for the UB High School Coordinator is $24.71 - $41.67 per hour. However, the expected salary for this position is up to $26.00 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. |
