POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Electrical Planner supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Electrical Planner assists management in preparing cost estimates for construction projects by quantity take-off, using spreadsheets and unit cost information. This position utilizes journeymen skills and a high level of sound knowledge of construction operations and management. Projects include all facets of construction: civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and others. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.
- Complies with service order guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Utilizes manufacturer publications, codes, regulations, and as-built data to identify construction methods and materials required.
- Complies with required safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Researches and prepares scopes of work and paths for construction projects, establishing methods, crew size, work sequences, duration of projects, equipment ,and specific materials required to complete construction projects.
- Tracks and confirms material receipt.
- Prepares construction drawings using computer-aided design and drafting (AutoCAD) or manual drawing techniques that reflect as-built conditions, changes, construction methods, and materials.
- Plans and estimates are given to supervision and management for final plan review and determination of proper scope and adequate materials, ability to effectively accomplish, and appropriate method of accomplishment.
- Coordinates with shop craftsmen, supervisors, and engineering as needed to ensure plans meet code requirements for area out of licensing venue.
- Tracks on-going projects for changes and delays, and processes documentation for increases in estimates and completion dates.
- Prepares and processes excavation permits.
- Prepares official correspondence for the transmittal of estimates, change orders, drawings, and other information.
- Maintains project and equipment files.
- Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, and verbal and written instructions.
- Adheres to proper security practices, foreign object damage procedures, and airfield driving regulations, as applicable.
- Interfaces with customers and is responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
- Operates motor vehicles.
- Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
- Complies with health and safety rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
- Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as determined by position and duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Works harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all Alutiiq, LLC related matters.
- Accountable for assigned tools, materials, and equipment, and cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Oklahoma Journeyman's License with minimum of six (6) years' experience applicable for specific trade.
- With the assistance from other trades must be able to plan complete work package to include multiple crafts.
- Current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
- Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.
- Ability to maintain all necessary licenses and IDs.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
- Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
- Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.
- Perform duties related to infrastructure, real property installed equipment, and assets including, but not limited, to electrical systems and equipment, sound and security systems, fire alarm systems, wiring, lighting, motors, and power generating equipment.
- This position may currently and/or in the future be required to obtain and retain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and/or Personal Clearance (PCL) as required by law or contract.
- Position requires pre-employment drug screening.
PREFERRED QUALITIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Eight (8) years' experience in related field.
- Computer-aided design and drafting (AutoCAD) experience.
- General background in construction procedures and standards.
- General knowledge of federal and state construction codes and OSHA requirements.
- Military experience.
- Previous experience working on a military installation.
- Experience working on Tinker facilities.
- Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
