What this job involves -

The HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Coordinator will serve as a key member of the site level team, providing HSSE leadership, advisory, and management services to client facilities located across the United States. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective HSSE programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading safety training initiatives, and fostering a positive safety culture. This is an on-site role, reporting to the HSSE-Manager at the Louisville, KY location.

Your day to day:

Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSSE requirements and activities at assigned client sites
  • Communicate HSSE needs and results to the HSSE Director on a regular basis
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation describing the HSSE program including playbooks, procedures, and regulatory records required by JLL, regulations, and clients
  • Complete and maintain Hazard/PPE Assessments for all site activities
  • Create and maintain regulatory compliance registers for assigned locations
  • Lead the continued development and refinement of JLL's HSE culture and training programs

Training and Development

  • Maintain site training matrices for all team members
  • Manage and assign online training requirements for site personnel
  • Provide JLL required training/presentations on specific topics applicable to site employees
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate safety training for their roles

Incident Management and Reporting

  • Ensure proper documentation of accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other safety events
  • Manage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for assigned sites
  • Serve as Site Administrator for the JLL Incident Management System
  • Lead or support investigations of HSE events and root cause analyses
  • Track implementation of corrective actions following incidents
  • Prepare communications to share lessons learned across site and account operations

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all HSE Sections of the JLL Client Assurance Program (JCAP)
  • Support environmental compliance efforts as specified in JLL/client Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work
  • Support site teams in implementing new compliance and best management practices programs
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in health, safety, and environmental management
  • Experience in commercial real estate, facilities management, or similar industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of safety management systems and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout facilities, including climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, mechanical rooms, and other building areas
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as required
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record for travel between sites
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds

Working Conditions

  • Primary work location at client site(s) Louisville KY
  • May require travel to multiple locations (up to 25%)
  • May be exposed to various environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, and dust
  • May require occasional weekend or after-hours work for emergency response
