Job Summary

The Sr. Director of Billing Experience Transformation will lead and oversee critical initiatives to modernize and optimize billing processes, driving automation, operational efficiency, and revenue optimization. This role requires close collaboration with vendors, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and successful execution of transformation strategies. The Sr. Director will play a pivotal role in managing change, mitigating risks, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives to deliver a superior billing experience.

Responsibilities
  • Process Modernization Leadership: Lead and oversee initiatives to improve and modernize billing processes, emphasizing automation, efficiency, and revenue optimization while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors to ensure key objectives are met, evaluating the cost-benefit of a balanced outsourcing strategy for critical billing functions and maintaining strong partnerships to support transformation efforts.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with technical teams to drive tool updates, assess technology considerations, and implement both short-term and long-term changes required to support billing transformation strategies.
  • Change Management Execution: Execute the organization's change management methodology, collaborating across departments to assess user impact, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Stakeholder Integration: Facilitate seamless integration of billing initiatives across teams (e.g., IT, finance, customer service) and stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment on project deliverables.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of transformation initiatives, providing insights to senior leadership on efficiency gains, revenue impacts, and process improvements.
  • Team Oversight: Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration to achieve transformation objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in billing operations, process improvement, or transformation roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in leading billing modernization initiatives, with a focus on automation and revenue optimization.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including negotiation and cost-benefit analysis for outsourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams on technology implementations and updates (e.g., billing systems, automation tools).
  • Expertise in change management methodologies and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with billing platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or automation technologies.
  • Background in managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in assessing operational and financial impacts of transformation efforts.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $161,186 - $264,805/ year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
