Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Columbia, MD. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Develop and implement space planning strategies that accommodate current and future organizational needs.
  • Analyze space requirements and provide solutions to maximize the use of physical resources.
  • Coordinate with department heads and management to understand departmental space needs.
  • Manage and update space management databases and CAD drawings.
  • Oversee the allocation, design, and layout of workspaces.
  • Conduct regular space audits and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with facilities, IT, and security teams to ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • Manage relocations, renovations, and workspace adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital budgeting for space-related expenditures.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp to Perm (12 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Facilities Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of that in a leadership role.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing outside vendors.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 6 years of Facilities Engineering experience, including project management.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture or Interior Design or Facilities Management.
  • Professional certification in Facilities Management.
  • Facility decommissioning experience.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and health and safety standards.
