Program Analyst

Position Summary:

As Program Analyst, you'll use your people skills and organizational skills to support a U.S. Navy technical program. Working directly for the technical manager, you will support the efforts of the technical project leads to ensure that funded programs are delivered on-time and on-budget.

Clearance Requirement:


  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Collect, track, monitor, and report on program task status using scheduling tools
  • Create metrics to identify trends in order to proactively manage program tasking
  • Assist technical leads in program review preparation
  • Create Task Trackers which identify action items for follow-up
  • Collect and consolidate weekly technical reports to produce High Visibility Report to be submitted to management


Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • HS Diploma
  • Three (3) years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Superior verbal, grammatical, and written communication skills
  • Dependable and able to work independently
  • Proactive, can-do attitude, able to think outside the box
  • Ability to work effectively with and learn from engineering technical staff
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous government contracts experience a definite plus


Physical Demands and Expectations:

  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 20 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting.
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
