Program Analyst Position Summary: As Program Analyst, you'll use your people skills and organizational skills to support a U.S. Navy technical program. Working directly for the technical manager, you will support the efforts of the technical project leads to ensure that funded programs are delivered on-time and on-budget. Clearance Requirement: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Collect, track, monitor, and report on program task status using scheduling tools Create metrics to identify trends in order to proactively manage program tasking Assist technical leads in program review preparation Create Task Trackers which identify action items for follow-up Collect and consolidate weekly technical reports to produce High Visibility Report to be submitted to management Required Education, Skills and Experience: HS Diploma Three (3) years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis. Experience with JIRA Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project Superior verbal, grammatical, and written communication skills Dependable and able to work independently Proactive, can-do attitude, able to think outside the box Ability to work effectively with and learn from engineering technical staff Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency Strong attention to detail Previous government contracts experience a definite plus Physical Demands and Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 20 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting. Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance. Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
