With full lifecycle ownership, you'll lead a high-impact team that balances cost, quality, and agility while delivering results. This role is for leaders who see procurement as a lever for innovation-not a transactional function-and who can build systems that scale with Tesla's ambitious growth. What You'll Do Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all your and your team's products to ensure the very best quality, cost, delivery, and service Analyze market dynamics to ensure supply continuity, adapting strategies to address current and emerging risks Partner with product teams during concept development to define technical, financial, and sustainability requirements for components and materials Drive end-to-end ownership of procurement workflows, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance tracking, and risk mitigation Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to refine product specifications and onboard suppliers Identify and qualify new sources of supply to support plant expansions, product launches, and sustainability initiatives Deliver cost-reduction targets through data-driven analysis and innovative sourcing practices What You'll Bring 5-10 years of progressive experience in procurement/supply chain management, with5+ years in electronics sourcingand4+ years leading teams Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to influence product design through early-stage cross-functional collaboration Demonstrated expertise inend-to-end product lifecycle ownership, including supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, and sustainable scaling Experience driving change management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Proven success in leading teams and implementing procurement frameworks that align with business objectives Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on measurable outcomes Familiarity with supplier scorecards, contract law, and compliance standards Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $84,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
