What You'll Do

  • Drive new business growth and expand revenue within existing accounts through high-volume outreach (calls and emails).
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to client retention, upselling, and pipeline generation.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Cision products and services and identify cross-product opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team culture and demonstrate alignment with Cision's core values.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to your assigned territory and clearly communicate your plan to leadership.
  • Partner with internal teams to create strategic, integrated solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Educate clients on new offerings and respond to all inbound inquiries from your designated accounts.
  • Manage contract negotiations with professionalism and poise, even in competitive scenarios.
  • Balance proactive outreach with responsive client support through exceptional time management and organization.
  • Serve as the go-to contact for your clients, delivering outstanding customer service and support.
  • Report weekly on activity, forecasts, and business outcomes to your manager and sales leadership.
  • Apply Miller Heiman sales methodology to guide client conversations and progress deals.
  • Use Salesforce.com to manage pipeline activity, document interactions, and ensure timely renewals.
  • Support other team goals and take on additional responsibilities as needed.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 0-1 year of sales or client-facing experience preferred.
  • Interest in public relations, media, content, and communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours based on team or client needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning through an Individual Development Plan (IDP).
