Description
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the ideal candidate for the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner will be able to balance strategic and tactical work while acting as a trusted advisor, driving HR initiatives that align with business goals. You will develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that support organizational goals and objectives (short- and long-term), enhancing overall business and HR effectiveness. You will lead HR activities such as employee relations, performance management, talent management initiatives, organizational development initiatives and compensation planning and administration. You will assess and anticipate HR-related needs to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and liability, and drive employee engagement and retention.
This is a hybrid role in our HQ in Oak Brook, IL three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Provide data-driven HR insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.
  • Serve as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, offering innovative solutions to business challenges.
Talent Management & Organizational Design
  • Provide advice, coaching, and support to business leaders and other managers to execute on talent strategies, including acquisition, development, assessment, succession, retention, and engagement.
  • Provide guidance to managers on compensation reviews for offers, promotions and the annual merit process.
  • Execute HR initiatives related to organizational restructuring, change management, and culture enhancement.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Drive a high-performance culture through coaching and development strategies. Guide managers through performance improvement plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions.
  • Advise managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues at various levels of complexity including coaching, researching/investigating situations and recommending business driven proactive, and inclusive solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between client groups and HR Centers of Excellence to provide HR solutions for managers and employees, including total rewards and talent acquisition.
  • Interpret and share HR data and metrics to provide insights that identify opportunities for improvement and inform decision-making to measure the effectiveness of programs.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience. Prefer at least 5 years of HR Business Partner experience.
  • Experience working with multi-site, multi-state workforce and operations/manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree Preferred (Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or other applicable field) from an accredited College/University.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Broad HR background and understanding of HR functions
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make informed decisions and influence others.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and ability to communicate within a matrix organization. Ability to frame message based on the audience.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage both strategic initiatives and the execution of day-to-day deliverables
  • Self-starter, bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems; UKG preferred

Compensation: $90-125K. Actual comp based upon expertise and capabilities as they directly correspond to the role
