Job Summary:
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will manage inventory across Midco's warehouse and inventory facilities, ensuring the accurate receipt, processing, and organization of shipments. This position ensures the accurate receipt, processing, and organization of shipments, supporting both internal and external customers. By maintaining efficient inventory systems and collaborating across departments, the specialist helps drive operational excellence. Responsibilities: * Prepare and process all incoming and outgoing shipments by prepping, picking, loading, unloading, and securing the equipment. * Ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged, while safely loading and unloading them. * Accurately distribute equipment to the appropriate personnel * Actively collaborate cross-departmentally ensuring effective communication related to inventory or processing of orders. * Maintain and organize Midco's inventory using the inventory system, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. * Process new & used CPE ensuring correct status and inventory location within necessary software programs. * Process timely and accurate requisition orders to replenish the inventory as needed. * Accurately key inventory data and conduct precise inventory cycle counts. * Provide clerical and administrative support as necessary. * Successfully complete ongoing training as necessary and/or as directed. * Demonstrate knowledge of Midco's safety program, enforce safety rules and procedures, wear appropriate safety apparel (including hard hats, safety vests, OSHA approved boots), and operate all equipment safely. * Operate and drive a company vehicle in compliance with all Midco policies and procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to traffic laws. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular maintenance and repairs are conducted as scheduled to uphold a professional image as directed by leadership. * Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same. * Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures. * Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position. * Perform other duties as assigned Note: Management reserves the right to assign or reassign functions and responsibilities to this job description at any time. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). * Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A DUI conviction within the past five years will result in disqualification from employment in this position. Team Members will be assigned a level congruent to their experience and training.* Inventory Control Specialist I * Previous inventory or warehouse experience preferred. * Proficient in general computer operations, including web browsing, email, instant messaging, video conferencing, and Microsoft 365 applications. * Have the ability to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment, such as forklift and/or skid steer. Inventory Control Specialist II * 1 year in role or equivalent experience. * Proficient with inventory software and Microsoft Excel. * Ability to work independently and be resourceful, while exercising sound judgment on when to include the broader team. * Cross-train to support internal teams to meet business needs. *Additional career level opportunities may be available to internal team members with relevant experience and training. Work Environment: * Requires both indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions. * Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to risks such as electrical shock, vibration, paint, and various cleaning chemicals. * The noise level ranges from moderate to loud. * May be required to work more than 40 hours per week, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as business demands. * May need to travel to additional sites to assist other teams based on company needs. Physical Demands: * Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. * Required to lift and/or carry loads up to 50 lbs. For loads heavier than 50 lbs., two or more people are required to lift. * Required to stand or walk for the majority of the scheduled shift. Mental Demands: * Ability to notice and correct errors, ensuring accuracy in all tasks. * Capability to keep things orderly and manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Aptitude for identifying issues and finding effective solutions. * Proficient in conveying information clearly and effectively. | |
