*Description* Job Summary: We are seeking a senior Deskside Support Engineer to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for the Department of Transportation in Lakewood, CO. This role involves troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, supporting end users both remotely and onsite, and serving as an escalation point for junior staff. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities *Serve as an escalation point for junior and mid-level deskside engineers. *Act independently in customer environments and collaborate with engineers from multiple teams to troubleshoot issues. *Troubleshoot complex issues unresolved by junior and mid-level engineers. *Update status of queued service requests in the IT service management system. *Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to end users, including move/add/change of equipment, software installs/upgrades, and general troubleshooting. *Provide deskside and remote support including imaging, deployment, asset management, and Windows 10 support. *Deploy customer hardware and software. *Deliver problem resolution IT support to end users. *Provide high-level customer service and support, including VIP support. *Escalate complex problems to upper-level deskside engineers. *Assist in leading small projects and team efforts as assigned. *Diagnose and troubleshoot Apple (MAC) computer and iOS hardware/software; perform necessary repairs. *Support a wide range of system issues from simple to complex. Qualifications *Minimum 7 years of deskside support experience, specializing in troubleshooting complex end-user hardware and software issues in a diverse Microsoft Windows environment. *High School Diploma required. *HDI Technical Support Professional certification required within six (6) months of employment. *Desired certifications (not required): CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL v4. *Strong knowledge across multiple IT disciplines: computing, networking, integration, and domain administration. *Proficient in hardware/software diagnostics, mobile device deployment, recovery, and troubleshooting. *Experience with Microsoft Windows troubleshooting and configuration *Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, VPN, SCCM, Bomgar, Zoom, VTC, Thin Clients *Experience with Smart cards / PIV cards (general knowledge) *Experience with ServiceNow ITSM system for documenting problem resolution and meeting SLAs *Experience with Remote support tools and deskside troubleshooting *Experience with Imaging and deployment (Windows 10 and Apple/macOS using JAMF preferred) *Experience with Conference Room / VTC setups *Perform IMAC procedures and lifecycle refresh activities. *Strong customer service and multitasking abilities *Exceptional communication, organization, and scheduling skills *Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Other Requirements: *Must be able to travel to various field sites; reliable transportation required *Note: Candidate must have the ability to obtain a public trust* *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.05/hr.
