Join Team Cisco! We are looking for an outstanding Solutions Engineer to join our mission to "Serve Those Who Serve" - public sector customers in New York State and specifically our K12 customers. Together, we drive business outcomes that exceed customer expectations, foster strategic relationships, and build a culture of learning and technical excellence.

Your Impact

As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a meaningful role as a technical pre-sales engineer for a subset of our customers. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to engage deeply with our customers. You will collaborate with Account Executives, integrated team members, partners, and the business entities of Cisco to deliver outstanding business outcomes.

  • Lead and participate in high-impact customer engagements such as Tech Days, Executive Briefings, and other events.
  • Build executive relationships and champions within accounts through trust, business insight, and technical strategies.
  • Partner with Services Account Executives to drive full lifecycle adoption of our solutions and position our CX offerings.
  • Influence the future of our portfolio by participating in advisory boards, tiger teams, and providing customer feedback.
  • Champion a culture of learning and coaching while continuously investing in your personal professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of industry experience, with experience as a pre-sales solutions engineer preferred
  • CCNA-level experience or the ability to achieve the CCNP Enterprise certification within 18 months of joining Cisco.
  • Ability to travel to customer meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP or CCIE certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies such as routing, switching, wireless, collaboration, datacenter, or cloud solutions.
  • Experience presenting complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including CxO-level executives.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of the Cisco partner ecosystem
  • Competitive knowledge of the IT industry
  • A track record of consultative selling.
  • Experience in IT Architecture or Operations
