The Role
The Director of Large Enterprise Growth (Strategic Programs & Insights) will drive cross-functional focus, clarity, and follow-through across Lumen's most critical growth initiatives in Large Enterprise. This role provides strategic program support, performance insight, and rhythm-of-business alignment to ensure key programs translate into measurable commercial outcomes. Additionally, the Director will work collaboratively with leaders across the Lumen organization to design, execute, and lead multiple teams through transformation change efforts of varying size and complexity. The aim is to enhance decision-making, identify key focus areas, and track the progress of top initiatives.
The Main Responsibilities
- Translate Growth Strategy: Translate growth strategy into structured, trackable execution with programmatic rigor and commercial focus.
- Bringing Strategy to Execution: Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving execution to achieve desired outcomes.
- Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data, evaluate results, and develop recommendations and roadmaps across multiple workstreams. Recommend measures/metrics to monitor aligned with tactical plan execution/implementation and track measured progress. Partner with the finance team for value assessment and tracking.
- Precision in Programs: Bring precision to programs, clarity to performance, and momentum to field-facing initiatives.
- Measurable Impact: Ensure every initiative drives measurable impact without adding complexity. Develop methods to use KPIs to assess organizational performance against targets, refine strategic vision, and identify areas for improvement.
- Leverage for LE SVP: Create leverage for LE SVP by making strategy executable, performance visible, and execution accountable without adding noise or hierarchy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Oversight: Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross-functional leaders, coach and guide project teams, and foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Provide oversight and manage stakeholder alignment for cross-functional projects and initiatives across Lumen's executive leadership teams.
- Strategic Mindset: Track updated accomplishments, KPIs, key issues, and/or change controls. Lead working group meetings and create weekly project status and executive reporting. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's long-term goals and objectives.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 10-12 years' related experience and 3+ years' experience at manager level.
- Recognized as a leader with outstanding communication, presentations, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives, C-Suite and constituencies.
- Strong interpersonal and influence skills; effectively convey ideas through clear communication in team discussions, presentations, and documents to garner support for projects.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and P&L.
- Champion for change, willing to challenge the status quo and push a team and the company beyond its comfort zone through compelling data, constant communication, and aptitude for building bridges across functions in the face of resistance.
- Strong results orientation with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Thrives in an organization with high operational rigor, is a self-starter, and is agile
- Passion for building and sustaining high-performing teams.
- Experience negotiating and liaising with multiple operational contacts at all levels up to executives.
- Applies a quantitative approach to problem solving and has intermediate to advanced excel and technical skills.
- Experience working for publicly held, US-owned, global corporations.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for meetings and presentations
- Ability to work with sensitive financial data and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges
