The Role

Provides expert technical direction at a project level. This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing tests for complex systems and equipment. The individual will collaborate with various teams across IT to identify the impacts of test requirements and improve the overall quality of the final deliverables. As a technical expert, this person will possess strong communication skills and will be expected to partner with business and technical groups in order to anticipate the effects of testing and bring timely resolution to critical issues. Within their area of expertise, this person will provide specialized advice and direction. They will contribute towards the team's continual process improvement, and will also provide industry knowledge regarding test strategy development, test R&D activities, and technical support when applicable.

This role also involves implementing and maintaining automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. The individual will work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define testing scope, and ensure alignment on quality goals. They will define and implement quality assurance processes, including test strategies, methodologies, and best practices. The role includes continuously evaluating and improving testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Additionally, the individual will manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the QA organization.

This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive QA planning and coordination
  • Perform manual testing of web, mobile & desktop applications
  • Write automated tests for web and mobile apps using various open-source test frameworks
  • Assist PO on product questions and issues
  • Serve as the user advocate within the engineering team
  • Implement QA metrics, including benchmarking and identification of areas for improving overall performance
  • Identify and lead process improvements in QA and agile execution
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative environment
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to analyze test results, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Consulting Level Bachelor's degree. Typically with 8+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with Master's Degree.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium Java, cucumber, Junit, JARVIS, UFT, Parasoft SOA, Jmeter, AccelQ, SOAP UI, PostMan, Python..etc)
  • Solid understanding of the telecommunications domain, including the functionality and routing mechanisms of Telephone Numbers and Toll-Free Numbers.
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
