Job Description

The inventory analyst implements, maintains, and assists in the development of procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory controls to ensure optimal inventory levels. The Analyst will lead/coordinate projects and process improvements within the Plant Materials Management activities including production planning, procurement, logistics and inventory control. The Analyst will also develop collaborative working relationships with Buyers, Production Control Analysts, Finished Goods Planners, and Master Schedulers to monitor and evaluate performance and to recommend, prioritize and initiate actions to attain business goals and objectives. You will report to the Production & Inventory Control Manager. You will work onsite from Richland Center, WI.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Working with the Production Control Analysts to plan/coordinate the monthly inventory planning parameter review process to establish appropriate customer service driven safety stock/reorder point levels for components and/or finished goods based on processes specified in the ETO materials planning playbook.
  • Tracking and managing the effectiveness of the planning parameters to rationally adjust safety stock levels and to continuously improve the overall planning parameter process. Ensuring all health check review cadences are performed and addressed as needed.
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting the pertinent KPI's, as well as, suggesting and implementing plant-specific improvement activities (i.e. Must monitor actual customer service performance against the inventory position, and provide a summary of operation results for management).
  • Providing relevant experience for all affected Business Unit strategic and operational planning activities. Develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans.
  • Identifying gaps in performance or opportunities for improvement by production line or plant segment for service and other KPI's such as cycle time, STO compliance, reschedules and schedule attainment.
  • Determining monthly and annual inventory forecast, monitor and track actual to plan and initiate actions to drive towards entitlement or optimal levels.
  • Researching situations and obtain input from others to ensure fact-based solutions and answers to technical and operational problems.
  • Provide inventory metric segmentation and reporting, evaluation and disposition of excess inventory, including preparation of scrap requests, projecting strategic and last time buys, refining the inventory planning processes.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 2+ years of inventory management
  • Experience pulling data and information to drive action and give direction to the team
  • 2+ years of working with Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Experience supporting a warehouse or distribution center
  • Ability to lead indirectly and influence others
