Job Description: The Frost Art Museum has an opportunity for a student assistant to gain hands-on experience in graphic design and communication within the Marketing Department Responsibilities will include related data entry and recordkeeping as well as setting up e-blasts, social media posts, and collecting necessary information for the Museum's communications The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing Coordinator in the strategic planning of social media posts to establish an online presence, communications disbursements, in addition to the preparation of exhibition openings and other museum events The ideal candidate will be a student currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field and eager to apply their skills to real-world projects Key Responsibilities: Assist in the creation and design of marketing materials such as social media graphics, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and presentations Support the marketing team in developing content for social media platforms and digital campaigns Help maintain and update the companys website and social media channels with fresh content Collaborate on brainstorming sessions for new marketing campaigns and communication strategies Assist with market research and competitor analysis to support marketing strategies Contribute to the drafting, editing, and proofreading of internal and external communications Support event marketing activities and promotions as needed Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels Job Category
Federal Work Study Desired Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Florida International University program in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field Strongly recommended that all applicants submit 3-5 samples of relevant work Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) or equivalent tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) Creative mindset with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative Who May Apply
