Job Summary

The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is currently seeking a Temporary Program Manager to join their team of professionals.

Responsible for project management of all capital upgrades to the museum, on an ongoing basis. Develops and implements strategies for new memberships and renewals, maintains accurate records for all members, sends membership renewal notices.

Duties include:

  • Contributes to and assists in the oversight, implementation, and achievement of overall goals for the museum.
  • Organizes and manages all aspects of all events at the museum in conjunction with the Director.
  • Serves as liaison with all grants received by the museum from State, County City and private foundations, manages all grant applications and all required documentation for follow-up. Serves as liaison for all required meetings pertaining to grants.
  • Assists Director to develop campaign and execute plan to recruit new members, including special events for targeted audiences. Assists Director to develop campaign and executes plan to reenroll lapsed members.
  • Assists Director and PR professional to create an Annual Report and fundraising proposals for Major Gifts. Creates and monitors visitor surveys.
  • Assists Director in organizing all bills for submission to financial management. Assists Director to maintain contacts and working relationships with external vendors and consultancies to source bids and proposals.
  • Assists Director with duties as liaison to Miami Beach Cultural Affairs, Mellon, and other large and/or recurring grants, if the Director is unavailable.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are related to the position.
  • Assist with managing the Monday at the Museum lecture series.
  • Support the series director in planning and development of historically significant exhibitions,
  • Provides administrative assistance to ensure smooth execution of lecture series, exhibitions and assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with faculty within Department of Religious Studies on related program activities, lecture series as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.

Advertised Salary

$28 per hour.
