The Department of Urban Education in the School of Arts and Sciences-Newark at Rutgers University-Newark is searching for a full-time, non-tenure track (
NTT), calendar-year Lecturer (Instructor) for a one-year appointment to begin in August or September 2025. The
NTT Lecturer (Instructor) will teach one course during the academic year 2025-2026 and work to form and maintain partnerships with urban PK-12 schools and community colleges and implement field components of coursework. The position will work closely with the department chair and other members of the department to develop and maintain pathways for students to transition to and successfully complete their academic programs and to increase the department's external visibility. Applicants must have demonstrated experience teaching at the university level and PK-12 urban teaching experience.
