Consultant II, Professional Services

Job Description:

The Consultant II, Professional Services is responsible for assisting clients in meeting their organizational goals and objectives. This role will work both independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and are recognized as subject matter experts (SMEs) in the company's solutions, best practice configurations and workflows.
  • Render consulting services at client sites, corporate offices, and remotely.
  • Provide consultative advice, recommendations, and solutions to clients reflective of best practice processes and workflows.
  • Perform and document Discovery for new implementations, used to determine client specific configurations and workflows.
  • Build, configure, maintain and edit best practice workflows to meet specific client needs.
  • Document identified gaps in product functionality and all client interactions using standardized processes.
  • Responsible for Go-Live support and adoption of the company's products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (ex: Solutions, Sales, Professional Services teams) on projects for customers that determine customer needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders. This includes client internal and external contacts in efforts to obtain information, document requirements, analyze workflows, and identify risks. This will result in result in formation of recommendations and project plan details for their assigned engagements.
  • Provide direction, expectations, and requirements to project stakeholders. This results in on-time, accurate, deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Establish relationships with key staff at customer sites to ensure client satisfaction through successful engagement.
  • Influence and consult upon client work that includes reviewing business and outcome requirements and workflows, analyzing customer metrics to identify inefficiencies, and making recommendations for the implementation of best practices and process optimizations.
  • Discuss tools, training materials, how-to's and why's with a client.
  • Collect, analyze, and socialize client feedback within the project to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Travel up to 75%.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer/Data Science, or any related field.
  • Complete continuing education programs and additional training related to this role as required by manager.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in consulting and/or direct implementation experience with ambulatory health information systems.
  • 8+ experience managing process improvement or clinical/business transformation projects.
  • 8+ years of experience managing large healthcare clients and projects.
License/Certification Required:
  • NextGen NCP Certification in EHR or EPM and DM within 6 months of employment.
  • Maintain and renew certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of:Proficient understanding of specialty client needs related to reporting, clinical workflows, and practice management. Change leadership techniques and organizational governance structures. Software life cycle. Client relationships and effective customer service methodologies. SQL, SAS, or other database management tools. Knowledge and understanding of healthcare delivery including but not limited to the HITECH and MACRA legislation and related programs and regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Business acumen.
  • Skill in:Project management, communications (verbal, written), presentation, organizational skills, time management, problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, customer/client orientation, change management.
  • Ability to:Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities, multiple demands, and ambiguity. Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences with ability to actively listen to others and adjusts to fit the audience and the message. Prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems. Establish and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect. Deliver professionalism in a virtual environment with prompt communication, camera-on culture, appropriate personal presentation. Ability to work in a team environment employing a hands-on approach with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
