Function:

Finance & Accounting Job Summary:As an Internal Audit Data Analytics (DA) Scientist, you will be challenged with identifying risk and increasing efficiencies through the use of data analytics tools and processes. Leveraging analytics, you will support 5-6 audits annually, spanning various processes within Information Technology, Operations, Compliance, General Accounting and Reporting, etc. In addition to supporting audits, you will identify opportunities across CF Industries to leverage your advanced analytics and data modeling skills to provide business partners with insights and opportunities to potentially strengthen their monitoring and analytics capabilities. Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify forward-looking opportunities to leverage statistics and technology to improve efficiency and quality of audits, operations and management reporting, and underlying risk management and assessment processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT Audit and Data Analytics Director, Lead Data Analytics Scientist, and Audit Managers to understand the in-scope business risks and associated business processes to develop data-driven objectives to assess risks and controls.
  • Work with business partners to learn the systems and data-sources to extract, transform, load, and validate the data.
  • Use analytics tools to script/program/visualize the data while planning and executing audit analytics objectives.
  • Analyze and document observations and potential issues for use throughout an audit.
  • Explore continuous monitoring opportunities to inform the annual risk assessment process.
  • Proactively develop prototypes to mechanize manual audit processes to improve audit efficiency and quality.
  • Co-facilitate CF's Data & Analytics Forum to upskill analytic and visualization skills of analytics professionals throughout the company.

Incumbent Attributes:

  • Bachelor's (preferably Master's) degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of advanced analytics and data visualization experience (Tableau/PowerBI).
  • Other unique job-relevant attributes:
    • Programming experience in Python, SQL, and/or R.
    • Exposure to cloud analytics tools like Databricks and Azure analytics resources like Data Factory and Synapse.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and GRC systems (e.g., AuditBoard, Archer), or similar electronic workpaper management tool.
    • Internal audit experience a plus.

The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $72,900 - $96,200

The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range.
