The Strategic Marketing Coordinator is a contract position and will be involved in the tactical planning and execution of product packaging artwork creation and maintenance, as well as product data management.

Primary Responsibilities

Packaging Artwork Review & Update

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including customers and suppliers, to manage products through entire process workflow.

  • Audit labels and packaging artwork for compliance with brand and regulatory standards against established Safety Data Sheets, brand guidelines, etc.

  • Identify and document required changes (e.g., hazard statements, pictograms, signal words, contact information).

  • Execute updates to artwork files through effective use of Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator, ensuring proper file preparation and management.

  • Design label templates for customer use based on approved, branded labels

Data Management

  • Maintain accurate records of label versions, changes and status.

  • Coordinate with product managers, regulatory, sourcing, purchasing and marketing teams.

  • Liaise with external vendors and customers for label or packaging production.

  • Prepare documentation for item and material code development.

  • Work within an SAP environment to source information and identify updates required to product data and Bills of Material (BOMs).

  • Review product information materials and online sources to ensure data consistency.

Project Management

  • Develop and manage timelines for label transition of all impacted products.

  • Track progress and report on milestones and risks during recurring team meetings.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment on actions and deliverables and ensure smooth execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Project Management, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in a Product Management or Marketing role, preferably in a B2B environment, manufacturing, or construction

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams or complex, technical projects

  • Strong communication and visual arts skills, including the ability to effectively navigate the Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office programs

  • Excellent attention to detail to drive accuracy and consistency across large data sets and various product information platforms

  • Effective project management skills with an ability to lead and engage in multiple, diverse projects simultaneously

  • Ability to quickly absorb and understand complex technical information

  • Familiarity with packaging and/or print production processes

  • Experience with enterprise resource tools such as SAP

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with global and/or remote teams

  • Familiarity with new product development and private label processes

  • Knowledge of digital asset management tools and website content management systems

  • Bi-lingual or Tri-lingual a plus - English, Canadian French, Spanish

  • Genuine interest in manufacturing, construction, and/or technical products

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $27.40/hr - $34.15/hr.
