Carnegie Mellon University's Community Health and Well-being team is searching for a. This role is a full-time position. Under the leadership of the Director of Wellness and Meaning-Making Programs, the Program Specialist will play a key role in supporting institutional, departmental, and student needs to cultivate personal enrichment programs and services. Partnering with the Director of Wellness and Meaning-Making Programs and Program Director for Religious and Spiritual Life to design and implement a comprehensive slate of programs for our campus community related to the different dimensions of health and well-being. Complete all tasks, from program conception to program implementation and assessment, including the various aspects of securing speakers, marketing, program budgeting, managing logistics, and assessing outcomes Designing and facilitating a variety of skill-building workshops and programs for the campus community through a mindfulness and holistic health lens Coordinating a diverse set of programs within our new Highmark Health, Wellness and Athletics Center, with specific focus on a Well-being Lab, a maker space for the mind, body and spirit. These include one time events or series events such as meditation circles, pet therapy, soundbaths, and student advisory meetings. These will entail evening and weekend hours as needed Supporting two holistic wellness consultation rooms, including one focused on massage therapy and a second that will solicit a rotation of health practitioners in a fee for service model to support increased wellness offerings for the campus community Collaborating with campus partners, student organizations, and community resources to strategize and implement holistic well-being programs and initiatives, which will include being an active member in various working committees Advising student organizations and projects that have a focus on cultivating a wellness culture on campus Advising and managing our student-led Mindfulness Room, a 24/7 relaxation space on campus Co-supervising student employees, in partnership with the Wellness and Meaning-Making team Training student leaders and campus partners , in an effort to increase positive peer modeling, skill-building, awareness and common language surrounding well-being practices and resources Building and updating website content, self-directed well-being resources, social media accounts, and marketing campaigns Serve as the primary point of contact for our partnership with the Headspace app by attending quarterly meetings and promoting Headspace resources to the campus community Designing the Be Well campus e-newsletter to promote wellness workshops, events, and opportunities both on and off campus

Qualifications:
Master's Degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with commensurate experience Experience collaborating and developing partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, preferably in a higher education context 3-4 years of experience in well-being coaching, higher education, social work, public health, counseling, community psychology, or related field required Experience using and teaching evidence-based research, diverse models of contemplative practice and holistic health, and multicultural traditions and context in content delivery A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background check Position will require regular evening and weekend hours as needed in order to facilitate events occurring in person in the higher education environment.
