Description
ExamWorks is looking for a Template Designer to join our team onsite! The Template Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining system templates, document formats, data maps, and automation scripts that support efficient workflows and third-party integrations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency with scripting and XML, and the ability to translate business needs into functional templates. The Template Designer also serves as a key resource for internal teams and stakeholders, providing support and guidance on template functionality and updates. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, onsite. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Independently design and maintain complex system case templates; including forms, custom fields, and workflow configurations based on changing business requirements and operational strategy
- Build and update document templates using field bookmarks and light scripting to automate content generation.
- Oversee the design and optimization of data maps using XSLT/XML to support data exchange between the system and third-party integrations.
- Develop and maintain advanced scripts (e.g. JavaScript) to calculate dynamic values, automate workflows, and populate document fields.
- Act as the subject matter expert and lead consult to internal stakeholders and teams regarding template functionality, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Create end-user documentation and instructions for software solutions and maintain documentation as system changes dictate.
- Manage the Jira ticketing system for incidental requests/issues, or larger scale business problems/projects
- Utilize internal software systems to provide support to our business units.
- Provide assistance as needed in migrating new acquisitions onto our software platform.
- Identify, analyze and document defects or inconsistencies in application functionality, user interface, output and performance.
- Perform basic application testing to help ensure quality software releases.
- Work closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction is achieved.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams in order to aid project scope, manage budgets and ensure effective rollout and training of new technologies.
- Ensure and promote effective and efficient utilization of company resources.
- Participate in development of long-range planning for new projects and programs.
- Maintain all standards of compliance.
- Provide advice, training and technical support for various projects as required.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor degree in a related field preferred.
- A minimum of five years related experience in application support; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Extensive knowledge in an MS Windows platform required.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
