About the role:

As a Rod Position Engineer you will develop drawings and design/technical specifications for Rod Control or Position products, perform engineering calculations to support design and analysis of Rod Control or Position products, and provide hands-on installation and troubleshooting of equipment.

You will report to the Manager of Rod Control and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is a hybrid position that involves a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week. These may be set by the employer or at your discretion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop drawings and design/technical specifications for Rod Control or Position products.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design and analysis of Rod Control or Position products.
  • Compile technical documents/specifications for procurement/manufacturing of Rod Control or Position products.
  • Lead supplier and manufacturing operations with technical issue resolution.
  • Develop and issue test documentation and perform testing on New Stanton testbed equipment.
  • Understand and lead interfaces with external engineering groups (Infrastructure, Equipment Qualifications).
  • Provide technical mentoring for team members.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar engineering discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience of analog and digital circuit analysis and design.
  • Knowledge of control theory.
  • Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
  • Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator).
