Perioperative Clinical Solutions Specialist

Near a major airport in the Midwest (Chicago) or MA / Southeast (Charlotte or Florida)

Job Summary:

Provide product and clinical support to customers and sales representatives for in-services, pre-sales, evaluations, follow up visits, and/or troubleshooting. Assists Product Managers and Engineering personnel with the design of new products in identifying target markets and the needs of those markets.

Position Specifications:

Essential Functions

  1. Assists sales in customer evaluations and pre-sale situations by presenting the clinical applications that correspond with the product features being presented in order to bridge the gap between the sales process and the clinical application.
  2. Conducts follow-up visits and phone calls to maintain a constant and open relationship with the customer in order to promote the continued education and use of the Mindray NA product line.
  3. Provides troubleshooting to accounts by visiting the account and identifying the critical issues (whether they be education, product, hospital, or departmental issues) and works to find solutions to those issues. The solution may involve Product Management, Technical Support, Service, or Hospital Personnel.
  4. Assist in developing and implementing ongoing sales and clinical education training programs at a regional, corporate, and national level.

Knowledge/Educational Requirement

  • RRT or CRNA with a current license from an accredited respiratory teaching institution.
  • BS / BA preferred.
  • 2-3 years in OR / ER / ICU experience, providing acute ventilation and airway management preferred
  • Knowledge of advanced ventilation modes: VCV, PCV, SIMV, PCV-VG, PS / CPAP, APRV

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal communication skills and presentation skills to provide sales presentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with many levels of marketing, sales, and engineering personnel at the divisional or corporate level as well as with all levels of hospital personnel, including CRNAs, Anesthesiologists, Anesthesia Techs, OR Director, Biomed, IT, & Materials Management
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Technical capability to understand all products and a clinical application of these products in numerous clinical situations
  • Flexibility to last-minute changes in schedules and must demonstrate a good work ethic to provide superior product demonstrations within specified time constraints.
  • Independent and self-motivated, such that they can act without constant supervision

Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand and speak in operating room settings for periods of 5-10 hours during evaluations & installations.
  • Must be able to load and unload heavy equipment
  • Must be located within 40 miles of a major airport
  • Must be able to do 80% travel, by car or plane, with 3-4 overnights a week.
  • Flexibility to last-minute changes in schedules
