Base Compensation Range: $27.04 - $33.77

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Specialist I will support multiple product lines. This is a multifunctional position at Mesa that will perform basic quality techniques to analyze and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure a high level of quality across all product lines. This will include interaction with other departments within the facility. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, drive product quality, record observations, and make recommendations for improving processes.

Duties/Responsibilities



  • Inspects and tests finished products to ensure that they are following internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for distribution.
  • Tests to determine that appropriate quality control analysis is being performed.
  • Documents inspection support documents and records.
  • Complies with in-house and/or external specifications and standards (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma).
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance protocols and work instructions that pertain to job.
  • Troubleshoots devices returned under the complaints process and in-put all relevant information into AutoDesk (eQMS).


Experience/Education



  • 5+ years' work experience directly supporting instrument product quality with ISO 13485, ISO 17025 manufacturing requirements OR
  • Associates degree in electrical engineering OR
  • Bachelor's degree in any science-based field


Knowledge and Skillsets Required



  • Experience performing root cause techniques or failure analysis
  • Working understanding of lean manufacturing tools and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
  • Good written and verbal communication for internal and external customers
  • Ability to work on individual tasks as well as a team environment effectively
  • Inquisitive and detailed mindset able to challenge the status-quo and find the root cause
  • Focused on creating value for customers, employees, and the community
  • Someone eager to be a major contributor and "impact player" and possessing a "problem solver" mindset
  • Highly motivated with a burning desire to succeed and overcome challenges as well as being a person of unquestioned personal integrity
  • Desire to function effectively within an "entrepreneur" and "roll up one's sleeves" culture.
