Job Summary

The Supply Chain Associate (SCA) Program is Duke Energy's premier leadership and Supply Chain development program for innovative college graduates seeking a dynamic career in a variety of Supply Chain (SC) functions at the country's largest electric power holding company.

This rotational program is designed to be a talent pipeline for future leaders and technical experts in Duke Energy's Supply Chain department. The program provides competitive experiences across a multitude of diverse SC environments that prepare participants to traverse into critical future roles. Each of the four, 9-month rotational assignments may take place in any of the following five Strategic Sourcing areas: Nuclear, Generation, Major Projects, T&D, Enterprise. Additional interface may include other areas of the Supply Chain organization (Inventory Management, Warehousing, Strategy & Support).

In these four rotations, SCAs experience complex intellectual challenges, participate on and lead small-scale and large-scale initiatives, interact with other SCAs through planned social and work activities, and gain practical, on-the-job experience in the areas of negotiations, commercial evaluations, project management, process improvement and numerous tools. SCAs gain heightened familiarity with a compelling corporate culture and direct access to the highest level of leaders across the company. In addition to competitive salary, SCA benefits include company-provided professional training, subsidized continued education, an orientation period for first-year program participants and optional participation in informal social, learning, and service events organized outside of work for SCAs.

At the conclusion of their program tenure, SC Associates are fully prepared to deploy to an area of their interest, in which they can contribute at a significant level.
