Are you a detail-oriented legal professional ready to take the next step in your career? Staffmark is hiring a Legal Assistant for a respected law firm in Monroe, LA. This direct hire opportunity allows you to support experienced attorneys across a wide range of legal practice areas while building your career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities



  • Assist attorneys in trial, hearing, and meeting preparations
  • Conduct legal research and compile case information
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and discovery
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and legal records
  • Communicate with clients, court officials, and opposing counsel
  • Coordinate legal proceedings, schedules, and deadlines
  • Assist with evidence organization and exhibit preparation
  • File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies
  • Perform administrative duties such as calendar management and correspondence



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Comfortable using legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience in real estate, family law, or civil litigation
  • Familiarity with local and state court filing procedures
  • Strong client service and professional demeanor
