Job Summary
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Digital Marketing and SEO Specialist to join our Operations and Strategy team! In this position, you'll manage and optimize digital content and SEO strategies to enhance the visibility, user experience, and effectiveness of Advancement websites, while collaborating across teams to support engagement and strategic goals.

What You'll Do:


  • Lead with Vision Leads the execution of SEO strategies by conducting keyword research, optimizing site structure and metadata, and collaborating with content teams to improve visibility and align digital efforts with long-term institutional goals.

  • Engage and Inspire Independently manages and updates diverse content within the Content Management System (CMS) such as campaign pages, event listings, and blogs. Ensuring quality, accessibility, and consistency to enhance audience engagement.

  • Drive Impactful Fundraising Coordinates with Advancement stakeholders to align web experiences with strategic messaging and campaign priorities, supporting navigation, layout, and storytelling that drive donor interest and conversion.

  • Champion Philanthropy Supports philanthropic initiatives through digital channels by providing backup on email marketing, content audits, and analytics reporting, enhancing the team's responsiveness and overall campaign impact.

  • Advance Strategic Initiatives Monitors and analyzes website performance using tools like Google Analytics to generate actionable insights that inform content strategy, optimize user experience, and support Advancement's broader digital objectives.

Essential Functions
Your Responsibilities as a Digital Marketing and SEO Specialist:
Purpose

  • Enhance the visibility and effectiveness of Advancement websites through strategic SEO optimizations.
  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with institutional goals to support audience engagement and conversion.
  • Support Advancement's mission by creating digital experiences that inform, inspire, and drive strategic outcomes.


Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with content teams, designers, and stakeholders to align digital efforts with user experience and institutional objectives.
  • Coordinate with Advancement stakeholders to ensure digital content supports strategic messaging and engagement goals.
  • Provide backup support to team members on initiatives such as email campaigns, analytics, and audits, contributing to team efficiency.

Innovation

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and apply SEO best practices to optimize metadata, page structure, and content strategy.
  • Leverage website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Search Console) to generate actionable insights and improve the user journey.
  • Continuously evolve digital strategy by identifying trends and performance gaps to support decision-making.

Production

  • Independently manage and update digital content in the CMS, including campaigns, events, and blogs, ensuring timely and accessible publication.
  • Implement SEO recommendations across web properties to improve search performance and organic reach.
  • Execute tasks related to digital initiatives such as email marketing deployment, content audits, and reporting.
