Wisconsin Early Childhood Association is a statewide, nonprofit association serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin's children, aged birth to eight. We are affiliated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

WECA is looking for a full-time Head Start Education Manager. The Head Start Education Manager supports childcare providers in implementing high-quality educational practices through evidence-based approaches. This role combines expertise in curriculum, coaching, and professional development to ensure that teaching teams achieve school readiness goals and align with Early Head Start standards.

Living in Milwaukee Wisconsin is required for this position.

Experience working in the early childcare industry is required for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide coaching and mentoring to childcare providers to enhance teaching practices and classroom quality.
• Lead the implementation of curriculum aligned with Early Head Start standards and school readiness goals.
• Maintain CLASS reliable observer certification and conduct regular observations to assess and support teaching teams.
• Facilitate ongoing professional development and collaborative learning communities for childcare providers.
• Support individualized instruction by analyzing child outcomes data and guiding providers to use results effectively.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure educational services align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate program performance to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
• Support providers in creating safe, developmentally appropriate learning environments.
• Guide childcare providers and teachers in partnering with families to foster engagement in their child's educational journey.

Education & Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience with infants and toddlers.

• Extensive coaching and mentoring expertise in early childhood setting.
• CLASS reliable observer certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards and evidence-based instructional practices.
