At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone. We are looking for a dynamic member to join our Environmental and Energy Team in Clarksville, TN! Shift: Days Sort materials, such as metals, glass, wood, paper or plastics, into appropriate containers for recycling Clean recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up broken glass and loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins Operate waste management equipment, including compactors, balers, forklifts, pallet jacks, or power lifts to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks Weigh and document incoming waste trucks and outgoing waste loads Label, sort, and safely handle incoming and outgoing waste materials, including hazardous, used oil and special wastes in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations Pick-up and/or transfer waste and follow procedures for waste management, including labeling, registration and waste inventory activities Oversee incoming waste for appropriate management, disposal, and in accordance with LG standards and goals Document waste management activities Other waste management duties as assigned Operate and repair Recycling Baler Oversee and guide temporary employees Requirements: Operate & repair Baler Mechanical skills Working knowledge of in-house waste system as well as Microsoft systems including but not limited to: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to multi-task and work independently Ability to function as effective team member with members throughout Facility Ability to oversee and guide temporary employees Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to operate forklift, pallet jacks and other material moving equipment safely Ability to operate baler, compactor, shredder and other waste management equipment safely Work in all meteorological conditions despite inclement weather?
