Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Supply Chain Project Manager to lead logistics and warehouse optimization projects within our manufacturing operations. Onsite at the manufacturing facility (not remote/hybrid). This role will drive internal material flow improvements from inbound receiving to final assembly and outbound shipping, while also enhancing external logistics coordination with suppliers for just-in-time deliveries and pull systems.
This role is cross-functional and execution-oriented. While it has no direct reports, it requires strong coordination across engineering, planning, purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to lead end-to-end project execution. You'll also support standardization, layout planning, lean implementation, and improvement of internal logistics processes.

Job Description

Notes:

This is an onsite role with a strong emphasis on factory execution. The ideal candidate combines lean logistics understanding with strong project management capability, thrives in a cross-functional environment, and delivers real results on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize internal factory material flow, including receiving, storage, line-side delivery, and finished goods shipping
  • Develop efficient warehouse and material handling layouts to support production operations
  • Implement lean internal logistics systems (e.g., Kanban, Supermarkets, PFEP, pull-based replenishment)
  • Support supplier logistics by establishing pull delivery systems, shipment frequency plans, and delivery visibility
  • Drive cross-functional projects from concept to execution, aligning with planning, sourcing, and operations teams
  • Analyze process performance using data; identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and track results
  • Support integration of barcode scanning, mobile/WMS technologies, and other automation within warehouse and material flows
  • Document material handling standards and provide training to warehouse and production teams
  • Utilize tools like AutoCAD or simulation software to model logistics flows (preferred)
  • Collaborate on logistics-related system improvement efforts (Oracle or other ERP experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Manage up to 5 concurrent projects and ensure delivery within timeline, scope, and budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain/logistics project management within manufacturing
  • Solid knowledge of internal factory logistics, warehouse operations, and lean principles
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset for decision-making
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kanban, Supermarket design, PFEP, and Value Stream Mapping
  • Experience with supplier delivery coordination, JIT delivery, or milk run/pull logistics - highly preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); MS Project or AutoCAD experience is a plus
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across departments
  • Ability to lead projects independently with minimal oversight
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle is a plus
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 warehouse solutions is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Travel up to 20%

Notes:

This is an onsite role with a strong emphasis on factory execution. The ideal candidate combines lean logistics understanding with strong project management capability, thrives in a cross-functional environment, and delivers real results on the shop floor.
