  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Position Overview




Primary Purpose of Position

  • Assist with daily administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing email correspondence, and scheduling appointments,


  • Prepare and distribute departmental documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist with data entry and management as needed.
  • Assist with planning and executing departmental events, workshops, and seminars.
  • Provide on-site support during events when schedule allows.
  • Assist with drafting and disseminating departmental communications, including newsletters, website updates, and social media posts.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to departmental initiatives and goals.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The NCCU School of Education offers undergraduate, graduate, licensure and professional development programs to train students to become teachers, principals, counselors, as well as serve as mentors to community schools. The School of Education offers traditional, classroom-based instruction as well as instruction via the Internet and teleconferencing. Faculty and staff bring diverse knowledge and experience, provide students with a unique learning experience; teach in small classroom size for easier access to each other and their instructors, and employ the latest technology.
