Assist the Head Coach in all phases of a sports program to include the following: coaching, conditioning, contest preparation, scouting, practice planning, fund raising, purchasing and care of equipment, planning and supervision of team travel, and monitoring the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes. The assistant coach will assist with the recruitment of qualified student-athletes. Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and the Enrollment Management staff to recruit student-athletes.

The qualified candidate must have knowledge and experience in coaching and/or competing in track & field throwing events. Knowledge of Thomas College, NCAA, and NAC rules and regulations. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to drive to athletic contests and recruiting events.

Bachelor's degree is required. Prior intercollegiate playing and/or coaching experience required. Must have a valid driver's license, successful driver's license background check, and successful completion of van familiarization course required.
