Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of basic job functions):

This position is responsible for selling travel, AAA memberships, and other AAA products to AAA members and non-members in a professional and service-oriented manner while supporting the ACG preferred partner program. Answering incoming phones calls, responding to internet inquiries, and outbound calls to consult and sell cruise and tour travel services, air, car, and hotel travel services, travel insurance, membership and financial products to AAA members and other clients. Always abiding by the policies and procedures of AAA Auto Club Group and the Travel Agency business unit. Home computer access is required. Actively seeks out opportunities to establish and strengthen client relationships to influence, promote and increase awareness of the travel products and services that are offered through AAA.

• Consultation and sale of cruise, tour related services, air, car, hotel, and travel insurance to AAA member and non-member customers providing the highest level of customer service. Reviews and responds to all customer inquiries regarding travel. Maintain proficiency in all automation programs operated by AAA Auto Club Group inclusive of but not limited to Salesforce, AXIS, Apollo/SmartPoint, Travel Port, AgentMax, home access process and Microsoft Office products. Also maintain awareness of aaa.com products and services.
• Follow accounting procedures and policies and ensure that all accounting documents and client virtual files are completed accurately and timely.
• Participate in industry programs, product knowledge seminars, training programs, and continuing education trips.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (including minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group products.

Experience:

• Previous successful sales experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge and/or experience using Apollo or similar GDS reservation system.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to aggressively pursue sales and develop client following.
• Ability to meet and exceed established minimum adjusted sales goal.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Must be organized with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Basic internet skills and PC knowledge that include multi-tasking and navigating several applications and windows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel industry experience is preferred.
• MS Office applications knowledge is preferred.
• Prior remote work-from-home experience is preferred.
• Prior call center experience is preferred.
• Individuals with experience in confidently research, quote, and closed sales.

Work Environment

Remote work-from-home. Irregular hours include various shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.

All schedule requirements are subject to change based on business needs. During training you will be expected to work Monday thru Friday with an eight-hour shift between 9:00AM - 8:00PM EST. After training you will be assigned a permanent schedule within the department hours of operation, including weekends.
