We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Reliability Engineer with Technical/Application architecture expertise. This role will involve managing and working with distributed, global teams with multiple stakeholders. This role splays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of software systems by blending software engineering with IT operations.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Leadership and Management

    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development
    • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
    • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term strategies for the engineering team to align with the company's objectives and goals
    • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality
    • Technical Oversight: Actively manage any technical issues that arise in production environments ensuring swift resolution with minimal impact on customers
    • Architecture Design: Oversee the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring they meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements
    • Technology Stack: Make decisions regarding the technology road map.


  • Innovation and Improvement

    • Participate in Architecture Review, present solutions, and review other solutions
    • Work with Enterprise architects to learn and adopt standards and best practices
    • Propose and justify the right tools and technologies needed to build solutions
    • Design solutions adhering to applicable rules and compliances
    • Stay updated with the latest technology trends to solve business problems with minimal change or impact
    • Enhance monitoring and instrumentation for OAP services
    • Build automation and self-healing capabilities to improve efficiency, stability, and reliability of services
    • Gather requirements for automation opportunities and instrumentation improvements
    • Recommend improvements and changes to monitoring configurations and service architecture design
    • Summarize and provide updates to key stakeholders
    • Assist with incident/problem root cause analysis (RCA) and identification of trends
    • Help teams define service level objectives and build views within monitoring tools
    • Conduct analysis on alerts and incident data and recommend changes and improvements
    • Drive improvements to monitoring and instrumentation for services
    • Assess and monitor overall application stability and performance, providing insights for potential improvements
    • Support cloud operations tasks
    • Participate in rotational on-call support

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) or 8+ years of Engineering experience
  • 6+ years of development experience with Java
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL server technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and single-page applications


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) with a preference for Python
  • Experience implementing comprehensive monitoring for services to detect anomalies and trigger timely alerts
  • Proficiency in monitoring and instrumentation tools
  • Understanding of application performance monitoring (APM) and log management tools, with a preference for Dynatrace and Splunk
  • Proven ability to effectively work independently or with a team as a software engineer
  • Proven ability to effectively articulate and communicate concerns, issues or inquirIes in a timely manner



Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
