Job Description: Microchip is seeking an Entry Level EHS Engineer to become a member of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Team, working from our Chandler Arizona headquarters. The preferred candidate will have a technical background/education in an environmental or occupational safety discipline. The candidate will be quickly developed into a functional member of the EHS department and will be directly involved in maintaining regulatory compliance for a wide variety of EHS programs across Microchip operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with other teams within the organization. Some of the essential functions of this position include assisting senior EHS personnel with day-to-day tasks, collecting and analyzing data, interacting with other departments to gather data, presenting findings, and helping streamline administrative processes. Projects will span a range of topics including employee safety initiatives, injury prevention, emergency response, environmental reporting, and evaluation of emerging chemicals of concern.
