Position Summary:

Supervises employees who plan raw materials & packaging purchases to support plant production. Develops the optimal detailed production schedule (DPS) for the plant. Modifies schedule to meet customer demands and expectations. Ensures maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools, and equipment. Meets production requirements for finished products as determined by the MPS plan. Responsible for maintaining raw material inventory within budgeted guidelines and have a JIT approach to material deliveries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create a workable monthly production schedule for the plant each month, maximizing opportunities to decrease plant cost per case and improve the plant's operational efficiency.
  • Supervises the workgroup by providing direction, priorities, and training and managing departmental staffing issues.
  • Optimize the cost for the factory and for Supply Chain using NCE/Lean tools and processes.
  • Act as the liaison between the plant and the Division Supply Chain in determining the best solutions for the company regarding the production plan.
  • Manage and monitor the inventory of raw material and packaging and ensure that all commodities are available and meet production needs.
  • Manage crisis situations that are due to raw material rejections/holds, late deliveries, vendor shorts, labor challenges, weather, or other uncertainty within supply chain.Provide direction on production priorities and action plan to leadership team when uncertainty or supply chain failures arise.
  • Communicate Globe master data requirements to pertinent groups to ensure that production timelines are met.
  • Ensure all manufacturing procedures comply with government and Nestle standards for food safety and quality.
  • Maintain SAP APO master data to ensure system integrity.
  • Publish Schedule Change document, Detailed Production Schedule, shutdown priorities when required, and e-mails that are required to ensure that all plant operating groups are aware of production changes, limitations, abnormal events, etc.
  • Communication with all plant and divisional groups as well as vendors in an effective manner regarding production needs, problems, and issues.

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • BA/BS degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or related degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of interdependencies throughout end-to-end supply chain
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Experience:

  • 3 years progressive experience in manufacturing warehouse environment
  • Previous supervisory/people leader responsibilities preferred
  • Firm understanding of manufacturing production and distribution processes

The approximate pay range for this position is $101,000 to $114,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
