Job Summary

The Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Marketing (Merchandise) leads the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that support the merchandise and on-site gaming business across AMC Theatres brands. This role drives revenue by managing strategic partnerships, developing merchandising strategies, and delivering compelling marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and manage branding and marketing campaigns for collectible concession vessels in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Use insights and performance data to inform recommendations and optimize merchandise marketing strategies.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison with the online merchandise vendor (Snow E-Commerce/Golden Link), overseeing product selection, promotional planning, market research, positioning, testing, and financial modeling.
  • Collaborate with F&B Operations to drive merchandise revenue through strategic promotions and effective merchandising.
  • Create and manage merchandising plans for in-queue or lobby merchandise sales areas, ensuring appealing displays and guest-friendly layouts that enhance visibility and boost purchase frequency.
  • Support marketing efforts related to the on-site gaming program, promoting awareness, increasing dwell time, and enhancing the overall guest experience while driving incremental revenue.
  • Secure and manage co-op marketing funds for merchandise promotions, maintain oversight of related budgets, and reconcile invoices to ensure accurate billing and reporting.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field; or commensurate experience.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in either:

-Client service or project management, managing multiple partners and projects; or

-Retail, e-commerce, hospitality, or entertainment industry.

  • Understanding of marketing principles, consumer insights, and digital paid media platforms.
  • Knowledge of merchandise/retail promotions and marketing.
  • Knowledge of the motion picture exhibition industry, entertainment, or related industry's marketing challenges.
  • Proven record of executing strategic marketing initiatives with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze attendance and product revenue trends and translate analysis into future recommendations.

What we also value (preferred):

  • Food & beverage, retail or merchandise experience.
  • Entertainment or theatre exhibition experience.
  • Experience creating promotions for pop culture and/or licensed products to drive revenue.
  • Merchandising, packaging, channel marketing experience.
  • Proven ability to craft marketing briefs and plans, as well as exposure to budget/invoice/billing management.
  • Experience with cost/benefit analysis to demonstrate ROI.
  • Experience in project management/ownership.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in planning and providing direction for photoshoots (product shoots, lifestyle/environment shoots).

Minimum qualifications:

AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, a specific skill set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
