Could you be the full-time onsite Quality Engineer in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your quality management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll drive the development and implementation of the quality management system on-site, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance), conduct quality audits to build a strong quality culture, and support root cause investigations and corrective action plans, and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Conducting quality audits of the maintenance team as per the audit plan to build a quality culture ,



  • Communicating findings to auditees and building performance indicators ,



  • Issuing Non-Conformity Reports and Corrective Action Requests for identified defects and deficiencies ,



  • Supporting auditees in investigating root causes, approving corrective action plans, and monitoring their effectiveness ,



  • Promoting problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, QRQC, and 5 Whys ,



  • Supporting the Quality Manager in providing quarterly reports to the customer ,



  • Defining weekly shopfloor animations with the maintenance team to promote a quality culture ,



  • Issuing internal monthly quality reports ,



  • Deploying the Alstom Performance System Quality roadmap to achieve site objectives ,



  • Developing continuous improvement cycles and lessons learned

  • Master's degree in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical...) or equivalent. ,



  • Experience or understanding of quality audits and inspections in an industrial or maintenance environment. ,



  • Knowledge of quality standards and tools such as Lean Six Sigma, 8D, QRQC, and 5 Whys. ,



  • Familiarity with safety management and risk assessment processes. ,



  • Ability to read drawings/specifications and familiarity with testing devices. ,



  • Leadership and communication skills to foster collaboration and build a quality culture. ,



  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. ,



  • Team player with a proactive attitude and curiosity to learn. ,



  • Experience in issuing Non-Conformity Reports and monitoring corrective actions. ,



  • Knowledge of transit environments and FRA standards (a plus).
