Responsibilities: The ideal salary range will be between $78k-$98k and dependent upon experience. *Candidates must currently reside within daily commuting distance from Modesto, CA to be considered. Relocation and sponsorship will not provided . The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer in Modesto is responsible for improving equipment performance and reliability by analyzing asset failure data, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. This role collaborates cross-functionally with maintenance, planning, and operations teams to drive system improvements, manage lubrication programs, and ensure asset care standards. The engineer supports SAP systemization efforts, promotes food safety and quality, and educates team members on best practices. Success in this position requires technical expertise, data analysis skills, and strong communication across all organizational levels.
- Analyze asset failure data, conduct root cause analysis to solve reliability problems, and validate solutions with data.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers, Storeroom, and Execution teams to implement maintenance strategies to maintain assets.
- Develop and implement a lubrication strategy for processing and packaging equipment, including identifying all lubrication points, selecting the appropriate lubricant type, determining frequency and quantity, and specifying the application method.
- Design preventive maintenance job plans focused on identifying failure patterns through human inspection and detection methods.
- Systemize maintenance strategies in SAP
- Continually evaluate and enhance Preventative Maintenance program and processes when necessary and based on needs such as equipment changes, upgrades, and as required by the business.
- Execute any maintenance & reliability system improvement requests from site audits, quality walks, etc.
- Educate maintenance and operations teams within the function on new concepts, practices, and approaches.
- Provide support determining methods and procedures to meet objectives.
- Quality and Food Safety - Support overall responsibility for finished product quality, food safety and legality, within functional area. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet Del Monte standards and customer expectations.
- Communicate and explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications: Required Education and/or Certifications
- Bachelor's Engineer Degree in applicable or related area (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Years of Experience
- 1-3 years of maintenance and reliability experience with a manufacturingenvironment, preferably in food or beverage processing.
Skills
- Ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with larges sets of data and make sense of them.
- Strong understanding of systems, equipment, and processes, as well as engineering principles.
- Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to use statistical analysis tools, as well as the ability to interpret and communicate the results of the analysis.
- Ability to identify potential safety and quality hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong partnerships with production planners, storeroom, maintenance teams, and outside contractors will be required.
- Technical competence and aptitude.
- Prior experience with a CMMS or PM tracking system.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP experience and/or Super User Trained.
- Lubrication certifications
- PdM knowledge and/or certifications.
- Knowledge of Precision Maintenance.
- CMRP Certification.
